Jolandi, our founder, has been a sports physiotherapist for four years since graduating from the University of Pretoria in 2017. She's always had a passion for all types of sport and human motion. Early in her career, she realised that most of the athletes who got injured were the result of incorrect training plans, uneducated exercises, abnormal biomechanics and incorrect athlete management.
Biomechanics is at the heart of any movement pattern and needs to be addressed in order to move pain free and without any restrictions. Jolandi has chosen to take a different approach to physiotherapy and athlete management as we know it. It aims at educating the patient in his or her sport, correcting the biomechanics of movement , and rather than managing recurrent injuries, prevent them from occurring.
Jolandi completed her master's degree at the University the Witwatersrand and soon decided to open up her own practice and pursue her dream of a holistic approach to athlete management. Sports Bodies was established as a sports rehabilitation center for all athletes in 2021. We aim to provide a holistic approach to the management of any athlete.
